Seafood in Swedish

July 5, 2021 | News

On May 17, 2021, the second edition of the Swedish dictionary was published. Among the new additions was 'seafood', a word that many of us had missed in the world of dictionaries.

The Swedish dictionary contains descriptions of modern Swedish words with an emphasis on their meaning and usage. The dictionary describes seafood as:

(for humans) edible animals and plants living underwater such as fish, shellfish and algae.

In one note, the word is mentioned as something everyday. For us at Blue Food, it is welcome that seafood is seen as something everyday. After all, that's what we work for.

The new edition of the Swedish dictionary is available digitally, as an app and on the web. You can find seafood and 65,000 more words in the Swedish dictionary, together with the Swedish Academy's dictionary and the Swedish Academy's dictionary in the Swedish Academy's dictionary portal svenska.se.
