Join KTH researchers on a study trip to China

In April, Blue Food researchers and doctoral students from KTH will go on a study trip to China. Those of you who are part of Blue Food, as well as other interested parties, have a unique opportunity to join the trip. The study visits will focus on Shandong Province and Qingdao, areas that are leaders in large-scale algae cultivation in combination with other seafood production, as well as processing and manufacturing of finished products.

During the trip, you will be accompanied by KTH's China coordinator, who has a well-developed network of contacts in the region, as well as a partner from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

The visit is unique in that it provides access to networks and players that are otherwise difficult to reach. The Chinese partners have also expressed great interest in collaborating with companies, which means that the trip may also offer concrete business opportunities.

Practical details

The study visits are scheduled for April 13–17.

The trip is planned to be with China Airlines from Stockholm via Beijing (travel time approximately 7.5 hours). The flight has not yet been booked.

Participants are responsible for their own flight costs (approximately SEK 6,000–7,000) and hotel accommodation. Meals during the visits will be provided by the hosts.
