Blue Food participated in Frihamnsdagarna (until the tent blew down)
In collaboration with Gothenburg Marine Biological Laboratory, Swedish Mariculture Research Center, SWEMARC , and Center for the Sea and Society at the University of Gothenburg, Blue Food set up an exhibit at Flytevi — blue community garden in Frihamnen, Gothenburg—during Frihamnsdagarna.
On Thursday, 27 August, and Friday, 28 August, researchers from Blue Food met with visitors and discussed topics such as aquaculture. On Friday afternoon, however, there was certainly plenty of water—in the form of rain—and wind. The tent was blown over and sustained damage that made it impossible to set up again. Unfortunately, Saturday’s event therefore had to be canceled. Hopefully, the researchers and the people of Gothenburg will get another chance next year.
