Blå Mat had a booth at the Frihamn Days (until the tent blew down)
In collaboration with the Gothenburg Marine Biology Laboratory, the National Center for Marine Aquaculture Research, SWEMARC , and the Center for the Sea and Society at the University of Gothenburg, Blå mat set up an exhibit at Flytevi —a marine community garden in Frihamnen, Gothenburg—during the Frihamnsdagarna festival.
On Thursday, August 27, and Friday, August 28, researchers from Blå mat met with visitors and discussed topics such as aquaculture. On Friday afternoon, however, there was certainly plenty of water—in the form of rain—and wind. The tent was blown over and sustained damage that made it impossible to set up again. Unfortunately, Saturday’s event therefore had to be canceled. Hopefully, the researchers and the people of Gothenburg will get another chance next year.
