Seaweed hanging to dry

Research area 1: Sustainability and resilience

The research area focuses on supporting a sustainable transition and robust growth of the seafood sector in Sweden. This is done by developing ecological risk analyses, supporting the development of climate adaptation plans, identifying appropriate indicators to evaluate the current status and follow up on goal achievement, and scenario work. The aim is to fill knowledge gaps and needs and deliver scientific support on what is needed for the seafood sector to grow sustainably and at the same time be ready to meet challenges from the outside world.

Research Area 1 adopts an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approach to ensure that research is relevant and responsive to societal needs and expectations.
