19 October 2021: "Increasing sustainable blue food production throughout Sweden"

September 30, 2021 | Events | News

Landsbygdsnäterket and Dalarna Science Park are organizing a webinar on blue food production through aquaculture with discussions on aquaculture as an industry, technology development, animal welfare and rules and policies. Kristina Snuttan Sundell and Anders Kiessling from Blå mat are participating in the webinar.

This is how the webinar is described on the Rural Network website:

We need to produce more food. The goal is clear in both Sweden's food strategy and the strategy for Swedish aquaculture. But how do we get there?

Welcome to a seminar that gives you a good overview of Swedish aquaculture. We talk about aquaculture as an industry, technology development, animal welfare and rules and policies. The target group is decision makers, business and rural developers and other stakeholders in the public sector.

The webinar will feature Kristina Snuttan Sundell, Professor of Zoophysiology at the University of Gothenburg and Chair of Blue Food, and Anders Kiessling, Professor of Aquaculture at SLU, who is also a member of the Blue Food steering group. Together they will lecture on complementary fish farming techniques.

Read more and register for the webinar by 15 October 2021.
