
Two satellite projects receive funding in Blue Food's first call for proposals
Two applications were submitted to Blå Mat's first call for satellite projects. After supplementary information, both applications have been approved and will share SEK 250,000.
The approved projects are
"Surveying infection and pathways in freshwater systems for wild and reared fish - A synthesis"
Academic partner: SLU
Co-applicants: Food fish farmers.
The project consists of a literature study on the disease bacterial kidney disease (BKD) which is a significant obstacle for Swedish aquaculture. The project is mainly related to Blå Mat's research area 1. Primary production and 6. Health and welfare of animals and consumers.
Blue Food is funding the project with SEK 100 000.
"Freshwater fish for Sweden"

Co-applicant: Guldhaven Pelagiska AB.
The project aims to develop guidelines for future products based on lake fish for Swedish consumers, using as much of the raw material as possible. The project is mainly linked to Blå Mat's research area 2. Process techniques and product development and 4. Consumer attitudes and sensory perception.
Blue Food is funding the project with SEK 150 000.
