Blue Food Annual Meeting at KTH Innovation: Intensive days with 70 participants
During Blå Mat's first annual meeting on November 15 and 16, some 70 participants met at KTH Innovation on the KTH Campus in Stockholm.
The first day focused on developments in Blue Food. The now nine young researchers shared the progress of their projects. Four of Blue Food's partners - Marine Taste, Vattudalens fisk, Pond Fish and Greens and Göteborgs Fiskauktion - shared their challenges, successes and future plans. In addition, IVL, Rise and SLU presented their ongoing Blue Food research projects. And as a bonus, the participants got to know more about KTH Innovation, the start-up company Knowcean and the Turnip Academy's project Bortglömda fiskar.
The second day of the annual meeting began with planning meetings and continued with current external issues: the ongoing fisheries and aquaculture inquiry, a report from Chile, seafood labeling, food preparedness and the Marine, Fisheries and Aquaculture Program. In other words, there was a wide range of content, but just as with Blue Food in general, the different parts were still connected in an obvious way.
