Elena Costa will defend her thesis on November 21, 2025
Elena Costa, a doctoral student in the Blue Food program at the Rise research institute and the University of Gothenburg, will defend her dissertation, “Food Neophobia: A Key Barrier to Consumer Acceptance of Seafood in Sweden,” on November 21, 2025.
Elena Costa's project revolves around the question of how we can get Swedish consumers to eat more - and more varied - sustainable seafood, and in the background is the question of how we feed a growing and aging population with more healthy and sustainable food.
The defense will take place in the University of Gothenburg's Natrium building with the possibility to participate via Zoom.
